Don’t miss out on Hilton’s late Summer/early Fall 2014 promo “Triple Your Trip“:

The Deal

Hilton is offering double points on weekday (Mon-Thur) nights and triple points on weekend (Fri-Sun) nights on all (eligible) nights at (participating) properties from August 1 through October 31, 2014.

The normal base rate for Hilton HHonors points is 10x points/$ spent (Home2 Suites by Hilton is only 5x), so, with this promo, you’ll be getting 20x or 30x points/$ spent.

How to Get It

1. Register here: Hilton HHonors “Triple Your Trip” before your first Hilton stay during the promo period of 8/1 – 10/31
2. Book your stays between August 1 – October 31, keeping in mind that ~1350 properties (35% of all properties) aren’t participating in the promo (Avoid them! See list of hotels that aren’t participating below.)
3. Your bonus points will post within 6-8 weeks from the completion of your stay

Don’t forget: 

• There is a LENGTHY list of ~1350 hotels not participating; this is more than 1/3 of the entire Hilton portfolio. Double check it here before you book: “HOTELS THAT HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN “TRIPLE YOUR TRIP” 2014”
• You must register before your stay to get credit–no retroactive credit! “Only members registered prior to check-out will receive Double and/or Triple Points for nights within the Promotion Period.”

BOTTOM LINE: This isn’t a terrible promotion if you already have Hilton stays planned–who doesn’t want more points?–but with the huge list of exclusions this is guaranteed to leave many frustrated from not reading the fine print.
