On a recent visit to Paris, we wanted to splurge for a night and found some pretty superb value in using Hyatt points. Having recently acquired the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, I knew that Hyatt was a 1:1 ratio transfer partner. On our recent trip to Paris, we were so lucky to experience the bizarre snow storm that hit Paris March 12-13, 2013. Although it shut down the airports, canceling hundreds of flights and disrupted all other train and car travel, it was a very scenic time for those of us in the city with no where to go.
