BOTTOM LINE: The 6,500 sq. ft. house is in excellent condition, fully furnished (not with original furniture, but museum quality from the same time period) and refurbished to its original condition. For $10, the 40-minute tour will give you a good balance of history of the time and the Russell family, as well as a detailed account of the features and furnishings of the house.

188 East Bay, Charleston, South Carolina Wine, Tapas, International $$ — Entrees for $13-17
Social, located on Charleston’s busy and exceptionally touristy East Bay Street, is a chic wine bar. The dark decor and low lighting give you an intimate, big-city experience all in close proximity to all Charleston has to offer–both sites and tastes.

Being a [...]
1909-P Hwy 17 North, Mt Pleasant, SC Breakfast/Brunch, Bagels, Coffee $ – Cheap
I’m a fan of Bagel Nation–I’ll admit it–so, when I checked them out on Urbanspoon to see what others were thinking, I was shocked to see only a 71%! Ok, sure, it’s in a strip mall. But, that’s part of the charm. It’s a hometown kind of place with some character and good prices. And that’s all before we get to the [...]
Ahh yes, Spirit Air, the self-proclaimed “America’s Only ULCC-Ultra Low Cost Carrier.” The champions of nickel-and-diming, Spirit charges the customer only for what he uses. If you want to carry-on a bag, you’re welcome to for a fee, but they don’t add it to the ticket cost because they don’t charge those who don’t want the service. No matter what your opinion is on the big change in the airline industry, you can’t deny that Spirit Air has some damn cheap fares on their routes.

I don’t necessarily expect the same level of service on a $40 flight as I do on the $8,000 trans-Atlantic First [...]
