@CarolinaCoopers:disqus, no problem–glad you found it useful. 15,000 Chase UR points for 2 people to go from Miami-New York in a sleeper might is one of the best values of points out there…

I think that’s just a shower. I never saw any toilets in the sleeper cars other than in the roomettes and bedrooms.

There is a separate shower down the hall, but no separate toilet. The roomette toilets are fine; if you’re shy, just ask your partner to step out for a bit. We’ve taken the Star/Meteor to DC, Philly, and NYC several times, and love the roomette. Had a full bedroom once (private enclosed toilet plus shower), but found it a waste of money. We get 3 meals x2 people, and bring music, laptops, movies, and Kindles. I always bring a change of undies and take a hot shower after breakfast. Great way to travel…

Yeah @great_stone_face:disqus, it was a pretty cool trip! And I think @smitty195:disqus might be right, from what I’ve read the Auto Train has bedrooms, roomettes and a dining car! But it might have been possible to miss these if you stay in the coach car.

Um, yes they do. The Auto Train is made up of double-decker Superliner cars. If you get a Deluxe Bedroom, you have your own toilet AND shower IN YOUR ROOM. If you get a Roomette, no, you don’t have a sink or toilet—but it’s just down the hall. It sounds like you’ve never been on a Superliner train before.

Yeah, I exaggerated a bit on that one. The picture above shows the sink flipped down but under that is a toilet that is meant to be used by roomette passengers. Not sure how other cars are configured but this was the only toilet on our car, there was however a communal shower at the end.

Yeah, exaggerated a bit on that one. The picture above is with the sink flipped out but under the sink is a toilet that is meant to be used by passengers. On our particular car there was just a shower at the end of the car so the only toilet was in the cabin!
