I have a question, I have the A1586, only works with AT&T but they say that’s not an AT&T phone, my friend bought it in Europe and he says it is unlocked. I tried the t-mobile sim card but it doesn’t work,
The question is how can i make it work with t-mobile is I don’t know the carrier that is locked to ?

I’m in Saudi Arabia….in the market there is iPhone 6 model A1586, japan version…..they claim that the only difference is in the Camera sound can not be muted.
I don’t know….does it work in Egypt?

this is not 100% accurate, the A1522 and A1549 will do both GSM and CDMA (e.g. the hardware is the same, and has the same chip sets), it activates the CDMA if you put in a Verizon SIM (Sprint, well has weird requirements, but would work if they were not so picky). Anyway, I know this is true, as I go back and forth between Verzion and T-Mobile by swapping the sims and it works 100% – I purchased an “unlocked T-Mobile” Phone from the Apple store, full price. However, I did have to call into Verzion to get the IMEI added to their database, they would NOT do it in store, all they wanted to do is sell me a Verzion version. However, they WILL help you add it over the phone. Give them a chance if you are in the same situation.
