Don’t miss out on Choice Hotels’ Choice Privileges Fall 2014 Promotion running from now through November 12:

The Deal

After every 2 stays between September 4 and November 12, 2014, at Choice Hotels (Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Hotel & Suites, Mainstay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and Ascend Hotel Collection), you will earn up to 8,000 points (which is enough for a free night at some of their properties).

Basically, this promotion will give you between 5,000 and 8,000 points for every 2 stays so that your account is “topped off” up to a total of 8,000 points, allowing you to hit the free night mark.

How to Get It

  1. Head to the ChoiceHotels.com promotion page:  Choice Privileges “Two Trips, One Night Free!”
  2. Register with your Choice Privileges member number before your first trip and before November 12
  3. Book your stays, keeping in mind that a “stay” at the following hotels must be a minimum of 2 nights: Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel or MainStay Suites. All other properties follow the traditional 1 night = 1 stay policy
  4. Check your account within 72 hours of your 2nd stay to verify the points have posted

Don’t Forget:

  • Full terms and conditions can be found here.
  • You can’t hoard points for too long:  “Choice Privileges points expire on December 31, two years after the year in which they were deposited into your account.”
  • Make sure to understand their definition of a trip:  “As a member, you must complete ‘two separate qualifying trips.’ ‘Trip’ = 1+ consecutive nights at Comfort Inn®, Comfort Suites®, Quality®, Sleep Inn®, Clarion®, Cambria Suites® or Ascend Hotel Collection® hotels. ‘Trip’ = 2+ consecutive nights at Econo Lodge®, Rodeway Inn®, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel®, or MainStay Suites® hotels. NOTE:  Even if a member checks-in or checks-out, consecutive nights at one hotel only count as one trip, not two.”

BOTTOM LINE: If staying at Choice Hotels is your thing, then there’s no reason not to sign up for this promo. Personally, I don’t think I’ll get going out of my way to take advantage of this deal, but it might make sense for some.
